Team Canada faces off against lightweights France in Minsk and lose 3-2 in a tiebreaker shootout. Maybe they had a long train journey from Milan that tuckered them out beforehand.
Same old song and dance for Canada at the Worlds, a jetlagged disjointed team, made up of disparate parts, dispirited players bounced from the playoffs, playing for pride, for free, but wondering if they should have stayed at home to heal up all the nicks and sprains from a long season.
Mix in James Reimer in nets, and having to cheer for Nazem Kadri, and this will be a tough team to love.
